Members and roles

The role catalog, the permission matrix, and how to manage access over time.

What this is

Every member has one role for the account. Role decides what they can see and do. You assign organizations separately — the same role applies in every organization the member can access. The catalog is fixed; there are no custom roles.

When you invite members, you choose from three roles: Admin, Ops, and Recruiting. Admin covers account management and billing. Ops and Recruiting cover day-to-day work in each product area.

The role catalog

Admin

Full account control. Can manage members, configure both products, edit goals and rewards, see every site in assigned organizations, and access billing (subscription, invoices, payment method, and credit purchases).

Ops

Day-to-day //Ops control for assigned organizations. Roster, goals, rewards, and roster flags. Cannot manage members or billing.

Recruiting

Day-to-day //Recruiting control for assigned organizations. Jobs, candidates, screening, and advertising. Cannot see //Ops data or billing.

Team Member

The frontline worker view. Own profile, points, rewards catalog, and leaderboard. Uses the Team Member mobile experience — not the operator portal. Team Members are not one of the three invite roles; they are added through the //Ops roster.

Managing roles over time

Promoting a Team Member

From Admin Settings → Members, change the role from Team Member to Ops. History is preserved. On next login, the member gets the operator portal.

Adding organizations

From Members, open the member and add organizations. Their role stays the same; they see an organization switcher when they have more than one.

Off-boarding

From Members, Deactivate member. Historical data stays attached for audit.
